I've just been on facebook and have seen that we have recent grads in New Zealand, in India, and one one his way to China. What wonderful educational and mission opportunities are available for our young people these days! It seems every year some of our young people traveling abroad. `We need to hear more from them when they return and learn from them.
These are all inter-related facets and fundamental to one another. Much of this, in the end, is rooted in tradition, as tradition is another means of expression and symbolism.

We do need to organize something so that our teens can see what is ahead and what comes of the opportunities. I don't know that we can get them here in Villisca at the same time but we'll see. I'd like to get some who traveled in the past as well like Leah Hutchings who spent 6 weeks in Africa while she was in college. Her presentation was remarkable. We need to start developing a list.

I think it is wonderful that our young people have, and take advantage of, these opportunities to travel. I was 60 years old before I went across the ocean, and it is amazing how just one trip can open your eyes to the world and make you realize that "we're all in this together"! It would be good to have the young people hear from these recent grads about their experiences.
